30 Sep Wedding hair and make-up for bride Susie and her bridesmaids
Wedding hair and make-up for bride Susie and her bridesmaids.
The brief was long, loose and half pinned up hair with natural but defined eye make-up. Bridesmaids were left to choose their own style and I worked with their hair type and make-up looks to choose a style that suited them.
Wedding make-up
Beautiful eyes is what first struck me about Susie. An amazing sky blue colour that totally stood out, (once I’d worked my magic of course ;o) Some brown and golds were used on Susie’s eyes to make the blue colour ‘pop’ even more. I was really pleased, (and she was) with the result.
Main products used:
Mac eyeshadows in Brun, Gorgeous Gold, Malt
Chanel Perfection Lumiere liquid foundation No.20
Mac Fluidline gel eyeliner in Blacktrack
Bobbi Brown lipstick in Rose Petal
Mac Longer blush in Fleeting Romance
Wedding hair
You can’t see in these pictures but Susie has super curly (I’m sure she won’t mind me saying, think 80’s perm) and quite fine hair. What she wanted was a look that was longer, thicker and not as curly! What it meant was using hair pieces which Susie had brought for herself after I’d suggested what and where to get them from. She then had her own hair and hair pieces dyed, (at her own hair salon) so they matched exactly.
On the day of Susie’s wedding she’d washed it for me to blow-dry into more relaxed waves, once I’d attached the hair pieces I integrated them in by tonging all of her hair into soft curls. To finish, pieces were pinned back slightly below the crown with a bit of backcombing using Redken Quick Tease backcombing spray.
Bridesmaids had a mix of french plait with side bun and a french pleat, all loosely pinned for that soft, natural look – gorgeous!
