05 Dec Denbies Vineyard wedding – Hair and make-up for bride Rebecca
Rebecca gets married at Denbies Vineyard sporting a simple yet stunning look.
I met Rebecca before she was due to get married in the US(!) She was looking for help and ideas to give her stylist who was also based in the US. Although I wasn’t going to be helping her on her big day across the pond, she did have another reason for hiring me and that was for her big party she was having back here in the UK for all of her family and friends that didn’t get to fly out! That was held at the lovely Denbies Vineyard in Dorking, Surrey. They had amazingly hot weather (almost too hot), which made a fab backdrop for her photos.
Rebecca wanted a chic, relaxed and simple up-do with one or two plaits incorporated. This was created without the need of any ‘padding’ or extra hair because she has loads of it! First off I sectioned two pieces at either side of her head to start the french plaits which went round to the nape of her neck and met with a ponytail, I then backcombed the ponytail smoothed it over and pinned into a low chignon. Rebecca chose some pretty little flowers to decorate the bun with which I put in at the top.
The bridesmaids’ hair was curled using my GHD straighteners.
Make-up was glowing, simple, and pretty. Rebecca had a gorgeous pink lippy from Chanel that she’d chosen and I applied false lashes to emphasise her almond shaped eyes. Rebecca has flawless skin that made my job easy(!)…cheeks were emphasised with a peachy tone to compliment her colouring.
